behind the beans

at rish, coffee is more than a daily ritual—it’s a craft, a connection, and a journey with curiosity and passion. we believe that every bean has a story worth telling, we source and roast with intention, curiosity, and respect for the people who make our work possible. not only we think great coffee should have distinctive attributes, it should also be accessible and communicable.

our philosophy

craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do. we roast in small batches to bring out the unique characteristics of each region and micro-lot, ensuring every bag delivers its best potential, clarity, sweetness, and depth consistently.

we believe in:

  • quality without compromise: we roast with precision to highlight each coffee’s natural character.

  • flavour-driven approach: with two certified Q-Graders in house, we’re expertly calibrated to bring out each coffee’s distinctive attributes. we let the bean dictate the roast—never the other way around.

  • freshness: our coffees are sourced seasonally and roasted to order for optimal flavour.

  • continuous learning: we’re always exploring new origins, techniques, and innovations in coffee.

our coffee

whether it’s a bright, fruit-forward african coffee, a classic, smooth, chocolatey south american coffee, or an asian extensively processed liberica, each profile is curated with care. we aim to create coffees that spark curiosity for newcomers and offer nuance for seasoned coffee lovers.

our community

we are committed to nurturing community—through our partnerships with local businesses and education that helps baristas and customers explore the world of coffee.

join us on the journey

from the first aroma to the last sip, we hope our coffee brings a moment of warmth, discovery, and connection to your day.

5 years ago, she arrived in the UK with one goal in mind — to pursue the kind of cup that makes you slow down and smile.

A certified SCA Q-Grader and former Head of Coffee, she has led programs, trained teams, and refined a sharp sensory palate along the way. That experience — and a deep passion for a truly good cup — now helps shape every coffee we create at rish.
